PAST HEALING ART & WRITING RETREATS

Hawaii 2024 Retreat Recap

In October 2024, Inner Peace Art Studio co-hosted a sold-out Women’s Healing-Through-Art Retreat on the Big Island of Hawaii with Off-Leash Writing at Kalani Retreat Center. Participants explored nature-inspired painting, writing, and mindfulness surrounded by ocean air and volcanic jungle.

The week blended spacious rest with gentle creation, a rhythm that reminded everyone what healing creativity and nature feels like.

Healing Art & Writing Retreat Memories

  • "This was the first retreat I’ve ever attended, so I’ve nothing to compare it to; but even so I feel that it was stellar.” I had a fantastic time, both by myself, and with the other women on retreat with me. The jungle environment was incredible, and the activities were well thought out and beautifully curated. I really appreciated that we could do everything á la carte, and not feel pressured to participate in every single activity every day. I experienced being able to read my writing out loud without even a hint of fear, for the first time in my life. Feeling the unwavering support, understanding, and camaraderie of a group of women, a majority of whom were previously complete strangers, was a phenomenal feeling indeed."

    – Julie R.

  • "An atmosphere of simple acceptance, set by our leaders Tanya and Katie and practiced by all the wonderful participants, was engaging without being demanding. It was an opportunity—to get away from the day-to-day concerns, to go to Hawaii, to meet new people, to learn new things, to try new activities—all in a welcoming, exploratory atmosphere. And I benefited. Just doing something totally different in a totally different place for one week refreshed and rejuvenated my spirit. I’ll take that. "

  • "Nunc non dolor ante. Aliquam erat volutpat. Cras cursus vehicula augue at gravida. Maecenas vestibulum, massa et vulputate eleifend, arcu ipsum scelerisque risus, ut ultricies quam turpis venenatis orci. Ut congue vulputate sagittis."
