 FAQs

about our programs

  • Healing through art is the practice of using creative expression - painting, journaling, movement, sound, or collage - as a pathway to emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being. It’s not about making something perfect; it’s about allowing creativity to help the body and mind relax, process, and restore. The act of creating activates the parasympathetic nervous system (the body’s “rest and repair” state), helping to lower stress, regulate emotions, and support healing from the inside out.

  • Arts in Health is an evidence-based field that bridges art and medicine. It recognizes that engaging in the arts can reduce anxiety, ease pain, improve mood, and enhance overall quality of life - especially for people living with chronic, autoimmune, or life-threatening illness. Inner Peace Art Studio’s programs are designed through this lens, combining creativity with mindfulness and compassion to support whole-person healing.

  • No. Our programs are evidence-informed healing arts experiences, not clinical therapy. They complement your existing care and focus on creative wellness and self-care.

  • Not at all. Every program is designed for all levels - no art, journaling, or writing background required.

  • All sessions are low-energy friendly and self-paced. Healing happens gently, one breath, one brushstroke, one word at a time. Need modification ideas for accessibility? Email us at hi@innerpeaceart.co
