A Candid Peek at What I’m Dreaming Up for 2026

This is one of those “pull up a chair” posts, my friend. Let’s get into it!

As I plan out the year ahead at Inner Peace Art Studio, I keep circling back to the same question:

What do you actually want to explore creatively right now?

Not what you should want.
Not what looks impressive.
Not what requires energy you don’t have.

Just… what feels alive, curious, soothing, or gently exciting.

Before I lock in new workshops, classes, and experiences for 2026, I wanted to share a very candid brain dump of what’s on my radar and invite you into the conversation.

Some of these are already in motion.
Some are experiments.
Some are dreams I’m holding loosely and shaping with care.

Here’s what I’m playing with for the year ahead:

A Peaceful Painting Club Concert

Yes, really. I’m planning a live PPC class where instead of Spotify, we paint while a musician sings live acoustic music. Originals and covers. Lyrics centered around hope and healing. It feels relaxing and a little magical, and I can’t wait to try it.

Free Studio Game Nights

Open, low-pressure studio hangouts with things like art supply bingo and trivia. No skills required. Just connection and play. This will likely roll out later in the year as an experiment.

Neurographic Art Certification

Neuro art has been deeply resonating in our community, and my goal is to become fully neurographic certified so I can bring the full practice into our studio. It’s a big investment, so this will likely happen later in 2026.

New Mediums to Explore

I’m personally exploring and curious about oil pastels, acrylic gouache (not the water-based kind), and more. I’d love to know what mediums you’re craving more of, just for fun.

In-Person Connection

I’m working on ideas for small in-person gatherings and retreats while honoring my health and capacity. We’ll likely start small and local before dreaming bigger. Our first meet up will be on the East Coast, with a casual optional meetup likely happening in Denver this summer.

Sumi-e, Ikebana, and New Concepts

I’m brainstorming ways to weave in practices like Japanese ink painting and flower arranging to support flow, ritual, and self-care. I also want to bring more community members with special talents into the studio. If we’ve talked about that before, I haven’t forgotten.

Guest Artists

I’ve already got plans to bring a color-obsessed artist with synesthesia for a guest class, along with an incredible artist living with MS who brings a beautifully different approach to the creative process.

Healing Art Live (Starting February)

This upcoming round will explore floriography in Healing Florals, along with landscapes, abstracts, and collage. It’s one of my favorite containers for deeper creative healing. Join here!

The Artist’s Way… With a Twist

Later this winter, I’m bringing back our 12-week Artist’s Way–style journey as the Inner Peace Healing Art Academy. We’ll blend multiple creative healing books with gentle practices across journaling, painting, doodling, collage, and more. This is where IPAS began in 2022, and it feels really special to return to it.

Healing Art Facilitator Training & Teaching Opportunities

Those who take the Healing Art Facilitator Training will have opportunities to teach free mini classes and build confidence as guides. The ripple effect of this work means everything to me.

Peaceful Painting Club Re-Opens

I’ll be opening PPC to the public with a few free classes so new folks can experience what our members love most.

YouTube Paint & Chats

I’m planning weekly low-key YouTube lives where I simply paint and chat. No production. No polish. Just real-time creativity.

Our Mission, Reimagined

This year, our messaging will center more clearly around helping women with burnout, chronic illness, autoimmune conditions, ADHD, or simply tired brains and bodies use art to heal and find themselves again. You don’t need a label to belong. Wanting to create for your own sanity is enough.

What are you most excited for? What do you want to learn and feel this year? Let me know in the comments.

Katie
