Why Inner Peace Art Studio Exists: Our Mission, Vision, and Values

Studio Notes >> News

Most art programs focus on the output.

Perfect sketchbooks. Beautiful, Instagram-ready paintings. The idea that you need discipline, consistency, and a perfectly color-coded morning routine to “count” as creative.

I could never be those things. For the first 35+ years of my life, I felt bad because I wanted to create but I didn’t fit that perfect societal vision of an artist.

And now on Instagram, I see ladies doing it up painting in a full-on going out outfit - make up, jewelry, nice clothes, the whole nine yards.

More power to ya, you do you. But…

That’s not what we do here. I’m not getting ready for 4 hours to do an art video, sorry not sorry. It just doesn’t vibe with the way my brain works.

And I hate that these types of false expectations and unattainable realities for most have been glorified on art-related social media. Everything just always looks so perfect. Ugh.

At Inner Peace Art Studio, we are Imperfectionists on purpose. It’s freeing.

We believe art is a lifeline, not a luxury. It’s how we cope, how we regulate, how we come back to ourselves, especially on the hard days.

I show up to my sketchbook looking like I just rolled out of bed, on those real days that I need the creative healing the most (aka everyday, lol!)

This is art for people who need a softer way - a softer way to start, to show up, to share.

People like me. People like you.

Our Vision

To help 10,000 spicy, sensitive, anxious, and chronically ill Magical Minds stop ghosting their creativity and finally claim daily art as something healing, not something you have to earn, and not something you can fail at.

Our Mission

We teach gentle, fun, messy, and restorative expressive art practices (with a touch of humor, because we need it) designed for:

  • Bad days

  • Sad days

  • Foggy brain days

  • Flare days

  • All the days

You don’t need to wait to feel “ready.” You just need a gentler way to begin and that’s what we give you.

Our Values

These are the promises we make to everyone who steps into this community:

1. Process Over Perfection
We don’t care how it looks. We care how it feels. Art here is about presence, not performance.

2. Creativity Over Collapse
If it leads to burnout, we’re not doing it. Our way is sustainable, flexible, and rooted in nervous system care. You matter more than momentum.

3. You Belong Here, Exactly As You Are
Spicy, sensitive, spoonie, anxious, neurospicy, just overstimulated and over it… whatever the case may be, this space was built for you. No fixing required.

4. You Don’t Have to Be “On” to Make Art
Art happens in the middle of grief, overstimulation, brain fog, and flare-ups. We make space for that.

5. Expression Is Medicine
Art helps us process, reconnect, and tell the truth about how we feel. It’s not frivolous, it’s foundational. It’s FUEL!

6. We Respect the Ebb and Flow
Ghosting is normal. Resting is normal. Every return is a creative win. We celebrate the loops instead of feeling guilty about them.

What This Means for You

You’re not behind. You’re not inconsistent. You’re not too much.

You’re just someone who needs a softer way to create, cope, and connect.

And that’s what we do here.
